Claim - Request by a policyholder or third party from a home insurance company for compensation of losses that are covered by insurance.
Deductible
- The amount that a policyholder agrees to pay before the insurance company compensates any losses. In addition to the standard deductible, there can be different deductibles for different types of losses such as snow, earthquake, wind, hurricane, hail, all-peril, and comprehensive.
Liability coverage - Coverage for bodily injury or property damage to others for which you are held liable.
Policyholder - The person or entity specifically identified as the named insured in an insurance policy, sometimes also referred to as the named insured.
